The Logis Saint-François is an ideal base from where you will be able to explore the numerous interesting sites of northern Burgundy and only 40 km from the Guédelon castle construction site, the Saint-Fargeau castle as well as all the Tonnerre region castles:

Ancy-le Franc, Tanlay, Maulnes et Nuits. The Pontigny abbey is only 40 km away from the Fontenay, a Unesco cultural landmark.

And tracing back to the origins of our civilisation, you may visit the exceptional prehistoric caves of Arcy sur Cure.

A large number of parks and private gardens are open to visitors.

Vermenton, a charming icaunais village

This old fortified village, with a beautiful roman/gothic church lies on the historical Napoleon road.

A lively village enjoying shops and recreation structures along the river ‘Cure’.
The ‘Parc des Isles’, riverside beach, large children recreation park, tennis courts and boulodrome (traditional ‘pétanque’ grounds), football field, will provide for a local touch.

During the weekly Friday market, you will have the opportunity to taste the traditional buttered Vermenton bread with a glass of local white wine.

On the warm season, you will be able to organise riverside picnics and swim or relax on the beach.
